Blatherin' Blatherskite!
Like part one, I found this cartoon disregarded and lost in the back alleys of newgrounds. It seems like it never had a chance for exposure. Very sad because it's well-made, funny, and just good stuff.
This part of the series was even funnier than the first part. Again I really liked all the obscure Ducktales references. Fenton's mother and girlfriend were great, but my favorite was the beagle boys. Again, you surprised me at the end with that actual Carl Barks comic panel showing that the Beagle Boys were actually on welfare. Hilarious and somehow disturbing.
I really liked the evil nephews from that future Ducktales episode. And I was horrified when they became the "hip" Quackpack versions. That's not even an exaggeration. Disney actually did that to their classic characters! Some viewers may not be aware but this cartoon is actually a biting commentary on what actually goes on in the cartoon industry as it tries to be trendy and whore its treasures out for a dollar. The Marvel comics Ultimate line has similarities to this, in my opinion. So do most movie versions of anything.
I agree with others that the volume seemed to shift and was a bit hard to hear sometimes. However, I like the sound effects from the Ducktales video game. And the voice acting is so spot on. It's hard to be believe only two people did so many great voices. Very talented and rare.
The story was interesting as well. Towards the end I found myself honestly interested in that weird blinking reality shift that was happening. I do kind of wish it was longer. I guess I wanted more. I this would be a good monthly or bimonthly series. It's much more intelligent than stuff like "Ackbar" but I think it's a quantity vs. quality issue.
Well, I hope you make more. It's good entertainment.
